This procedure will minimize the downtime associated with a firmware upgrade through InControl on a high availability router pair.
Step 1: Upgrade the slave router firmware.
- Access the Slave router “Firmware Management” area from the device level within IC2.
Step 2: Configure the upgrade parameters.

Select “Immediately” to begin the upgrade now or “Scheduled” to perform the upgrade at a later time.

Select the firmware version from the drop down list.
Step 3: We recommend verifying the configuration after device reboot.
- Select the “Remote Web-Admin” to verify the configuration following the upgrade and device reboot.
Repeat steps 1 through 3 for the master router.
