[Known Issue] [8.5.2] Device Not Adhered To IC2 - Data Pool Plan Restriction

Ref.: #34072, #33993, #34317, #34107

[Update: 2025-06-11]
To complement the [When Bandwidth Quota Exceeded] functionality, we have added support for the SIM Data Pool or Starlink Data Pool - Bandwidth Throttling feature, on top of the 8.5.2s008, packed in a newer special firmware, 8.5.2s042. It will be included in the next GA firmware release.

The download links below will be replaced with the 8.5.2s042 images, while additional links will be added for 8.5.2s008 images, in case anyone prefers that.

Details [2025-06-09]:
If the SIM Pool feature in IC2 is enabled with [When Bandwidth Quota Exceeded > Stop Routing User Traffic] option checked (shown below), and the devices are running firmware 8.5.2 GA, when the usage is over the quota, the devices will not follow the restriction and continue to consume the data pool.

Affected firmware version:
8.5.2 GA

Fixed in firmware version:
8.5.2s008

Workaround:
We have prepared a special firmware, 8.5.2s008 (based on the 8.5.2 GA) to fix the issue.

The fixes will be included in the next GA firmware release.

At the same time, our IC2 Team also working on an alerting mechanism to display a warning message in SIM pool profiles about this issue if the Org/Group contains devices running firmware 8.5.2 GA.

In addition, this special firmware also added the enhancement to include Starlink data pool - over usage quota restriction (sample below).

Here are the download links for the special firmware (8.5.2s008):

Please be aware of major bug I found that could cause large overages!

@WeiMing This was a big problem, but thankyou for quickly identifying so we can move on, does bandwidth throttling work in this special build?
