Hi @sitloongs
I have opened a ticket #23010039
I recommend pay more attention to the Balance 20X firmware stability as its a successor of Balance One series. Vitual WAN PPPoE support is really on demand. also I feel slow performance and some WiFi instability. also some bugs on the web console which reported before.
Thanks
There is an item in the release notes:
“26395
[Beta 1] [5GH or Cat-20 Devices] Added: 2x antenna mode for a cellular module”
There isn’t any documentation for 8.3.0 yet that I’ve seen, so I wanted to ask if this feature is intended to allow the use of a 2 element antenna on a Max BR1 HW7 LTE-20 setup? If so, is this something to configure, or is it automatically detected?
Use case: just deployed a BR1 Pro HW7 LTE-20 in a location with gigabit fiber for the Ethernet WAN. I needed the CPU performance of this router to keep up with the gigabit uplink. In deploying a failover cellular connection, we may want to use a 2x2 MIMO antenna we have, and the speed on cellular is really not all that important. The goal is to keep a site connected when the fiber is down, but in those instances, we’d only need lower-speed data anyway.
Thank you! That wasn’t obvious (at least to me). All set.
Hi Team,
I have two more findings to report:
When in Synergy mode, my Synergy Device does not detect any Wi-Fi networks. Meanwhile, synergy Controller can find multiple networks available nearby. Both devices use the same, standard antennas and are located in the same spot.
Synergy Device requires changing admin password constantly and does not allow navigatin through web admin. I am redirected to the password window after clicking any tab on the GUI:
@jakub.nowicki , do you have a ticket for this ? We may need to check from your device.
Hi @Lai / Peplink:
I don’t know if this has been reported yet, but I’ve noticed several issues in all 8.3.0x firmwares on peplink one core.

Thank you for the help to test on the 8.3.0 RC3 firmware. Would you be possible for you to open ticket to allow us to review the device configuration ?
I’m still seeing issues with AT&T in the US connecting with all versions of 8.3.0 on my MAX MBX Mini. I can boot back in to 8.2.1 and they connect instantly. I’ve tried three different AT&T SIM cards all with the same result.
Possible to open a ticket and allow us to check from the device ?
Hi @Lai / Peplink team
I’m seeing an interesting impact on Outbound Policy. I have this set to “Auto” and I think it should be using the lowest latency connection.
However, the traffic seems to being bonded across all active connections.
This seems to work great as it seems to be optimizing the connections when I run a speedtest, but not sure if it is what is intended?! FYI, I’m not seeing any traffic going over the SpeedFusion tunnels when I run this.
David
I am having an issue with traffic not using SpeedFusion Connect Protect.
Built an SFC 1-Normal and 2-Work. One with WAN smoothing, one without.
But even after setting it up, no traffic is using it. The tunnels show up with no issues but no traffic.
Yes, I have added apps and clients to use the tunnel but no luck.
I tore it all down and recreated it, and still not luck.
It all worked fine with 8.2.1???
I go back to 8.2.1 and it works
Is PPPoE authentication be available in this Beta Release for Virtual WAN? If not will it be for the final firmware release?
Calvin
@dnavany and @Paul_Riley, we don’t encounter the reported problem in 8.3.0. Suspect it is related to the settings. Can I suggest contacting your point of purchase to check and rule out the reported issue?
Thanks.
@akura88, are you referring to the [PPPoE User Name] & [PPPoE Password] fields?
If so, then this should be part of the standard PPPoE parameters that will be included, which is targeted after firmware 8.3.0 is GA’ed, either in a form of 8.3.0 special build or 8.3.1GA.
Yes correct referring to the [PPPoE User Name] & [PPPoE Password] fields, we have activated a B20X with the firmware as we have a NBN connection that we need activated on the Virtual WAN and it requires PPPoE authentication to get a connection. WAN1 already has another ethernet connection with PPPoE authentication so we are unable to swap the connection to have 2 active WAN.
