Why is My Warranty Expiring Prematurely?

This article is written for users who have purchased a new machine with a 1 year warranty, but found that their warrranty expired prematurely.

This problem may occur for customers who have purchased their devices from resellers; this happens when our system has not been updated with your purchase.

By default, the warranty starts from the day we ship the device to the reseller and lasts until a year afterwards. If our system is not updated with your purchase, then the warranty will end before it should. Take this example: Your reseller purchased a device from us last May, and you purchased it from them last November. If your reseller has not updated our system on your purchase, then the warranty will only last until May of this year, rather than November as it should.

To rememedy this, you can do one of the following:

Solution 1: Contact your reseller to register your device.

You can send an email to your reseller and ask them to add your device. When doing so, please remember to include your device serial number (found on the back of your device) and the model (e.g. MAX HD2, Balance 380).

Solution 2: Register your device.

To update the purchase on our system directly, please go through the following steps:

  • Click here to access your Product Registration page. You can also access it on www.peplink.com, by going to Support > Product Registration:

2014-01-21_131235

  • After signing in, double-check your information, enter your serial number, then click Register.

Your device is now registered. You will be taken to a download page where you will see the latest firmware and manuals available for download. To download the latest firmware , please follow this link.
