Is it true the Max BR2 Pro is now available / shipping in a x65 version for the USA / North America? IF so, how long has it been available? My provider delivered a BR2 Pro x62 and I would have ordered the x65.
Thanks.

Hi, @Wingrider
I am not a Peplink employee, but…
The new MAX HD4 with X65, receive a sku MAX-HD4-MBX-5GK-T.
So… Following this idea… all devices made by Peplink will receive same 5GK, when they will be update to X65 modem.
Looking for a SKU MAX-BR2-PRO-5GK-T-PRM…
I found… this… Pepwave MAX BR2 Pro Dual 5G/CAT-20 Mobile Router, WIFI 6, 4 Port Switch, USB Port – MobileMustHave.com
They also have a datasheet.
Found this at Peplink Store.
Availability: TBA - To Be Announcement.
“TBA” this is what’s confusing. If Mobile Must Have shows it on the site and shipping I should be good I’d think, I just didn’t see it listed on the main Peplink site only the x62. The link from Marcelo isn’t accessible to me (Peplink Online Shop). I appreciate the help so far. I just don’t want to purchase a second BR2 Pro that is also an x62 if x65 is shipping. Andy VanderVeen from Frontier has a post on Linked In 5 days ago says it’s available so I’m just a little confused.
I really appreciate the research on this Marcelo! That is where I saw the x65 version and was sort of surprised as I stumbled onto it looking for a Max BR1 Pro. Once I saw the x65 there I wanted to make sure it wasn’t an early posting mistake on the part of MMH before I place an order with my provider.
Nothing found about a new MAX BR1 PRO X65…
Maybe it s coming, also…
Who knows?? Peplink knows… ha ha ha
I just stumbled onto a live stream from the Mobile Internet Research Center and they are saying live now saying the product should be available Tomorrow (3/20/25)
hum…
Another Telit (LTE Modem)?
Nice to know… Let me do a research about this.
• The FN990A40 and FN990A40-HP data card is based on Snapdragon X65, targeting high-tier market needs.
Thank you.
Looks like MIRC was right- Max BR2 Pro is shipping video released this morning by Mobile Must Have. This ends this chase for the BR2.
Now- with the BR2 released m. when do we think Peplink will release the x65 version of the Max BR1 Pro?
good question, ill probably buy some once its out
Me, too.
Will be amazing test it here…
While the two predicts don’t seem overlap a lot based on capability, I’d imagine they would let the PR buzz settle after the BR2 x65 release.
I’m new to Peplink ownership so I don’t know their release cycles or how long ago they released the x62 BR1 Pro. It was about a year (13 mo?) between the x62 and this x65 BR2 Pro release. I had buyers remorse shortly after my BR2 x62 purchase so I’m trilled I was able to work out moving to an x65 for my first install. The next one will be an x65 BR1.
I have tested engineering sample x75 modem RM551e-gl.
Wonderful device.
Very fast and very high power efficiency.
Rm520n-gl very hot while working.
Rm551e-gl without any heatsink working well….
Hope Peplink team already have rm551e-gl and start implementation future support,
As soon as quectell x75 will will be certified by FFC they can use this for max br1 max br2 routers…
Hello,
Purchased a Max BR2 Pro with X62 last July 2024. With the release of Max BR2 Pro with X65, is there any upgrade path for those with the X62 (maybe a swapout of some module)?
Thank you,
Kevin
X62 compare with x65 not so big different in most of cases.
X62/65 and x75 that’s very big progress.
Personally I am will wait x75 models….
What will the x75 modules do?
Hi, @Jonathan_Pitts
Peplink, by default… always use the same lte modem when use same SKU.
5GN devices…
" BR1 Pro 5GN & BR2 Pro 5GN , with the MAX-BR1-MINI-5GN -T-M-PRM we use the Quectel / RM520N-GL 5G module. "
The new 5GK devices maybe will have the same TELIT lte modem, used by br1-pro-5gk.
