Synergy mode expanded to LAN side

Being able to “synergize” the WAN ports of another device is a great feature. Thanks, Peplink. :+1:t2:.

Please expand this to the LAN side for both LAN ports and Wi-Fi.

+1 for the evolution of the Peplink Synergy Mode

Add in the ability to get perpetual licencing for devices that operate offline & away from the cloud.

Have a good week

Agree… Will be great have this option as a license.

+1 from here too!

Absolutely agree - we need options for offline control and perpetual license options.

The new Switch Control do compliment nicely along with AP Controller, so expansion to Synergy mode with Wi-Fi from HD1 Dome as raised multiple times, port controls etc…

Heck, even VLAN across Synergy device and use LAN on a synergy slave device.

Hello @sitloongs
Please forward this to the Firmware Engineering team(s) at Peplink.

Both @Captain_Nik and our team have customers asking to use the Wi-Fi on the HD1 Dome Pro 5G as an extension of the Synergised Controller for offering Wi-Fi; this will save the need for an additional outdoor WAP.

Have a good week,
Marcus

@AgentAdam - What are your thoughts here?
Must be a useful feature in other aspects of Peplink Deployments?

@Giedrius - This would also make your new MAX Antenna (S, Duo & Standard) so much more capable.

Let’s get this feature implemented!

Sounds great, but i don’t like the idea of a single point of failure.

Also what about speed, the 1Gbps would have to run all the traffic multiple times.

Hmmm… I agree, but in most cases this would be one of many cogs in the system. The bandwidth could be a concern in some scenarios. That’s why we need more 2.5 and 10Gbps ports on our routers!

When synergizing the Wi-fi (LAN) of the slave side, I’d like to see it show up as a virtual AP so we can use the AP controller of the host device to manage it.
