Synergy mode expanded to LAN side

Please expand this to the LAN side for both LAN ports and Wi-Fi.

Creating Wireless Access Network With Synergy Mode (HD Domes)

Hi Guys, It would be great to have the ability to create a WLAN with Peplink Synergy mode devices rather than just having the ability to use the wireless interface to create a Wi-Fi WAN. This would be particular handy with HD dome devices.

Synergy mode remote LAN ports

Is it possible to use the LAN ports on a remote synergy device? Scenario: I have a Peplink router at the bottom of a pole and another Peplink router at the top of the pole. They are both synergied together. I want to plug in a CCTV camera at the top of the pole without running a second cable or adding a VLAN switch.

Add in the ability to get perpetual licencing for devices that operate offline & away from the cloud.

Absolutely agree - we need options for offline control and perpetual license options.

The new Switch Control do compliment nicely along with AP Controller, so expansion to Synergy mode with Wi-Fi from HD1 Dome as raised multiple times, port controls etc…

Heck, even VLAN across Synergy device and use LAN on a synergy slave device.

Please forward this to the Firmware Engineering team(s) at Peplink.

Both @Captain_Nik and our team have customers asking to use the Wi-Fi on the HD1 Dome Pro 5G as an extension of the Synergised Controller for offering Wi-Fi; this will save the need for an additional outdoor WAP.

Sounds great, but i don’t like the idea of a single point of failure.

Also what about speed, the 1Gbps would have to run all the traffic multiple times.

Hmmm… I agree, but in most cases this would be one of many cogs in the system. The bandwidth could be a concern in some scenarios. That’s why we need more 2.5 and 10Gbps ports on our routers!

When synergizing the Wi-fi (LAN) of the slave side, I’d like to see it show up as a virtual AP so we can use the AP controller of the host device to manage it.
