This may be related to Starlink VLAN WAN Failing on PepLink SDX but, we’ve seen an issue where Starlink will take a firmware update, and the device will be reachable via InControl but we cannot access the GUI nor can the users behind the Peplink obtain Internet Access.
Rebooting the Starlink terminal ( via the Peplink ) does not solve the issue, rebooting the Peplink always fixes the issue.
Has anyone else experienced this? This was on the 7.13 firmware to 7.25 firmware update on the Starlink Terminal and happened this morning.
I have run into a couple of issues in the past few weeks regarding a very similar sounding situation. Like you, I found that a reboot of the Peplink router (310X in my case) resolved it. However, when it happened again this morning - I tried just disabling/enabling the interface and that seemed to get traffic flowing all the way through.
First time it happened, I updated to the latest firmware; but when it happened again this morning - I thought I would check the forums.
That’s good to know, we have one location that only has Starlink so we didn’t try that there but we have another that’s on 5G+Starlink and we’ll give that a shot as well. The issue occured this morning on 8.5.1 on a different B-One 5G and the Starlink was pulling an update to 2025.07.31.cr60850 that triggered the issue.
Firmware updates on my Starlink are also associated with what I dealt with. It seems that the network state table in the StarLink router gets re-initialized, but the interface stays connected - end result was a dead path thru StarLink
My StarLink is set as a bridge, just in case it is related.
Copy, I opened a ticket with Peplink about it, we’ll see what they say and I’ll respond here if we find out any other mitigations besides port bounce/reboot.
