SpeedFusion & Mobile Connections

Hi, I am a little confused about SpeedFusion and how it would work in my setup. My office is in a rural area with a dual-WAN setup (DSL & LTE).

  1. For users inside the office on the LAN, will they see the combined bandwidth of both WAN connections for download AND upload?

  2. We have vehicles that use a laptop & LTE hotspot to VPN to the office to access a file server. Is there any way to take advantage of SpeedFusion with a client-VPN? Or would we need a mobile Peplink that supports SpeedFusion VPN inside each vehicle to benefit from the multi-WAN connection at the office?

Thank you!

Mtech,

Have a look at Understanding and Configuring PepVPN/SpeedFusion as this explains Speedfusion well. as does https://download.peplink.com/partner/SpeedFusion_Best_Practices.pdf

For speedfusion itself to work you must have a peplink device at either end licensed and configured to use speedfusion. See Speedfusion confusion.

The total bandwidth depends on the configuration - take a look at Link aggregation between brances - #2 by TK_Liew .

If there is a large imbalance in the data rates between your DSL and your LTE it can give you a lower overall bandwidth. See Peplink EU Distributor | Frontier BV | Connectiviteitspecialist
