Please make vWAN Licenses stackable

I need the licensing model to change for virtual WAN licensing please.

Selling a customer a 2 vWAN activation license and then only being able to sell them a full 3xvWAN license if they need to add one more WAN is a mess.

The original 2vWAN license is locked to the device serial so its not as if the redundant license can be used somewhere else, so the customer ends up paying for 5vWANs but only being able to use 3…

Not acceptable.

Hi Martin,

There’s a way to do so that’s listed on the Virtual WAN FAQ.

Is it possible to increase the number of Virtual VLAN WAN on my supported device?

Yes, it is possible. Please contact [email protected] with the serial number of your device and the SKU required so an order can be created for the difference in license prices.

In the scenario you’ve given, the customer will only need to pay the price of 1 VWAN license.

Good to hear. Does this also apply to non primecare devices though?

When I wanted to go from 3vWAN to a larger number for a B310x recently I was told the already purchased 3vwan license would not normally be refunded but replaced by the larger vwan license pack. Has that policy changed?

I now have a HD1 dome with a single vWAN license can I buy a 2vWAN licence and replace the live 1vWAN and just pay the difference?

Hi Martin,

Yes, it applies to non-PrimeCare devices as well. Policy hasn’t changed, the existing license will be upgraded to the larger license once the difference has been paid.

Yes, you can get an additional VWAN license for your HD1 Dome just by paying the difference. Just email [email protected] with your device’s info and they’ll send you payment instructions.

Are these still not stackable? I’m working with a customer that needs 20 VWAN’s but Peplink forced us into buying a 25 VWAN license.

Can we just buy two of the 10 VWAN licenses to get to 20?

Thanks,
Tim
