any resolution , i am stuck with an email address that hasnt worked in 4 yrs

why does it take peplink so long to respond to a simple request like this as peplink’s support page literally says to use the forum to post support questions

Our company changed email domains recently. I need to move the users to that new domain. I can’t even figure out how to change my own email!! Are we just expected to blow away all accounts and start over?

Hello @Tink_Er,
I’ve been down this path with our business, as have many other Peplink Partners and Peplink users.

There is currently no way to change the associated emails with a PeplinkID.

Peplink has previously published this.

Others have also made feature requests of this in the past, such as being able to manage with SSO with SAML & SCIM.

If you are a Peplink Partner, you can view this thread. If not, please ask your Peplink Partner/Distributor to add their voice.
In Response to “How do I update my email address for the Peplink ecosystem” (Knowledge Base article)

What is worth noting is that Peplink’s team is primarily focused on hardware development; their software platform team is limited in size and resources, so this type of change and support sits very low on their list of priorities.

How we currently work with this.

  • We have, for now, chosen to maintain all of our established PeplinkIDs on the origional domains (Peplink’s not the only vendor we work with that struggles with this).
  • When working with Peplink tickets, we reply using the Peplink Ticketing system portal or via email, and manually choose our previous domain’s email.

One thing I haven’t previously mentioned to Peplink, although it could work, is the ability to have an email alias associated with our Peplink ID. Peplink would need to put in email verification methods to support this (much like a Peplink ID). Making this work could be just as complicated as any other solution they have looked at. The PeplinkID was, in itself, an excellent step for Peplink in aligning all of its platforms, as maintaining that alignment and system security is critical.

Have a good week ahead,
Marcus
