I just wanted to say Thank You to everyone on the Peplink team for adding WireGuard. It looks like there are a lot of really good things in the latest firmware. I can’t wait to use it once it is out of beta.

Interesting! And as I see it, development has been going on for five and a half years now. That’s quite a stretch ;-). But now it finally seems like something is happening in that direction. Very encouraging. Thanks!

I’ve downloaded the beta version of the firmware and attempting to find how to establish WireGuard. Any helpful suggestions on “how to” would be appreciated.

On the local router, go to: Advanced → Remote User Access

Turn it on, and then WireGuard should be one of the options.

Thanks, I found it. This appears to allow remote access. Are you aware if the device can be configured to allow access to commercially available VPN providers. I do this with my Peplink OpenVPN license WAN connection to allow access to NordVPN servers.

Thank you Marcelo, I was worried that was the case. Very disappointing.

Hi WeiMing and Peplink Team,
WireGuard Remote User Access in 8.6.0 Beta 2 is a welcome addition, but many of us are waiting for something different — WireGuard WAN support. The ability to connect the router itself to an external WireGuard VPN servers, similar to how OpenVPN WAN activation works today, would open up a lot of use cases for traffic through third-party VPN services.
This is something I personally need, and based on forum activity, many other users feel the same way.
Is this feature on the roadmap? Any update would be appreciated!
Thank you!
