Lately, we’ve been receiving requests for a way to affordably add cellular connectivity to a network without changing the existing topology. In response, we’re now launching a $99 add-on license to enable Drop-In Mode for all indoor BR Routers. This license is now available in the online store, click below to get yours, or discuss in the forum.
This is an excellent addition to the BR1 functionality.
The best use case I can see for this is for adding backup into a large retail chain with minimal effort.
Anyone got other ideas or deployment examples?
Rory
Not only for minimal effort to drop a solution to customer network, we have partner use it for separate the network (MSS/MNS or VOIP service) from customer network.
Customer Network ------------------- ---------->BR1 <–Drop in → Ethernet WAN <—> Internet
MSS/MNS or VOIP service VLAN---------->
Hello Peplink Team. Can you add the MAX-LC-DIM sku to the br1 data sheets and model comparison pages on the website? It was almost impossible to track down the sku anywhere.
Thanks for your opinion.
We added the MAX-LC-DIM SKU to the BR1 family web pages.
Any plan to allow drop in for all balance series models?
Thanks,
Chris
Any plan to allow speedfusion bonding on br1 series?
Drop-in mode will be added to all models starting FW8.1.0, it is there in the beta 2 firmware. Not sure if it will be a ‘free’ feature, or that you still need the extra license.
