Zabbix SNMP monitors Peplink devices

Hello,
I set up the SNMP protocol on the BR1 device, and then I monitored the BR1 through zabbix.Timeout while connecting to “XXXX :161”

I grabbed the BR1 device data with snmpwalk, but when I wrote it to zabbix, I reported an error.
snmpwalk -v 2c -c public 10.x.x.x ifDescr
IF-MIB::ifDescr.1 = STRING: LAN
IF-MIB::ifDescr.2 = STRING: WAN 1
IF-MIB::ifDescr.3 = STRING: WAN 2
IF-MIB::ifDescr.5 = STRING: Cellular 1
IF-MIB::ifDescr.6 = STRING: Cellular 2
IF-MIB::ifDescr.7 = STRING:
How do you solve this problem,Please help me,thank you

@Bonnie

Please perform packet capture from the BR1 device and verify the SNMP sent from the server to the BR1. Make sure the SNMP request is able to reach to the BR1 device.

Please start the investigation using a MIB Browser to make sure OID defined is correct.

Beside that, do consider to use Peplink MIB to monitor the BR1 device.

Hi Team,

I am using the OID information in this MIB browser.Thank you

But still shows the connection timeout in the zabbix web interface

@Bonnie

We use zabbix to monitor our BR1s and FusionHub. What I have noticed it that we had to uncheck the “Use bulk requests” box while configuring the host interfaces for BR1s.

* “Use bulk requests” It’s been canceled, but it doesn’t work.can you help me solve this problem

@Bonnie

Can you please confirm when you enable “Use bulk requests” what are the SNMP requests will be send from your server ? We are not Zabbix support hence we need you to provide more info in-order for us to investigate the issue ?

@Bonnie can you post a shot of the BR1 SNMP config?

and the zabbix config?

@Bonnie

Please open a support ticket here for support team to check.

This can be verify by perform packet capture from the device and verify the SNMP request/reply sent.

I tested some OID information, but found that the bandwidth traffic obtained is not very accurate. Can you tell me which is the correct OID information for import and export traffic?

@Bonnie

Do you have more info to share for this ? How you verify the “bandwidth traffic obtained is not very accurate” ? Would you able to share the reports ?

Just for you information, there is no direct OIDs to monitor the bandwidth usage. Most of the case bandwidth usage is calculated by the SNMP server.
