Wifi Mesh over Multiple Peplink Field Routers Connecting

Hello all,

I’ve got an intresting question from my colleagues, which we need to be solved.

We plan deploy multiple peplink router within a remote location. In our company network we have a fusionhub in place as connection point.

The Idea was the following:
We are providing on the remote site a common Wifi SSID (via mesh?) for all our wireless clients. We span that over multiple peplink routers.
Each of that router is creating an own PepVPN connection to the company.
And finally the Clients within the Wifi should be able to send and rececive data from the company network.

Is something like that even possible?
And if yes, how we can achive it?

Thx

Matthias

Hello @matthias.brogies,
Have you considered using a common VLAN/Subnet for the SSIDs and running a Layer 2 SpeedFusion for the Wi-Fi across all devices?
We have deployed similar deployments and got it working.
Happy to Help,

Hi Marcus,

thanks for the reply

Something similar like that i had also in my mind

The only concerne i have is, that there is a possibility that there could be some trouble when a client is roaming between the different Peplink router.

But i will give it a try

Hi Marcus,

do you have maybe a “How To” for configuring a L2VPN in combination with WiFi?
Somehow i am not able to find the specific points to achive that
