I observe that wifi devices that roam around a building with serveral AP are not chronocally logged in Incontrol.
A log may look something like this:
00:00 Connected to SSID test on AP1
00:01 Connected to SSID test on AP2
00:02 Disconnected from SSID test on AP2
00:03 Connected to SSID test on AP5
00:04 Disconnected from SSID test on AP1
Sometimes a device has been stationary and connected to a nearby AP for several minutes before it’s disconnecting from the previous AP’s is logged.
That looks like this:
00:00 Connected to SSID test on AP4
00:03 Disconnected from AP1
00:04 Disconnectod from AP5
00:06 Disconnected from AP2
Tracking clients when they experience wifi issues is really hard this way.
I’ve checked all AP and they are all synced to the same time, with precision up to a second. Is this delay normal? And if yes, are the logs more in sync with reality if you use the router as AP controller instead of online Incontrol?
