WI-FI QR Code Feature Questions

Per the Webinar today Inside InControl 2.14 (7/8/25) I have a few follow up questions regarding the new “ic2 WI-FI QR Code” Feature.

  1. Are there plans to make this WIFI QR code generation feature available locally on Peplink routers & AP’s - if yes what is ETA ?

  2. In the meantime, I prefer to program locally. That said, would the following procedure work ?

  • Configure a Peplink WI-FI network on ic2.
  • Save QR code for the SSID’s as a screen shot
  • Disable ic2 device control.
  • Program identical config locally.
  • Provide end user the QR code.

You can use a number of free websites to generate the QR code from a known SSID & password pair if you want but its always better to have wifi config coming from IC2
