Why is my Verizon 4G modem (Pantech UML290) not working?

To establish a 4G connection with the Pantech UML290, users are required to enter operator settings manually. To enter the settings, go to Network > WAN > Mobile Connection and choose Custom Mobile Operating Settings. Enter the following information in the corresponding fields:

  • APN: vzwinternet
  • Username: phonenumber@vzw4g.com
  • Password: vzw
  • Dial Number: *99#

Operator Settings 

Click Save and Apply Changes. The 4G connection should be established within 60 seconds. If it is still not working, please contact our Support Team and start the troubleshooting assistance.

 

Note A: Please make sure your device’s firmware is up-to-date before you contact our support team for service, as your modem may not be supported by past firmware versions.

Note B: The modem currently works in 4G mode only. Switching between 3G/4G or 3G only connection modes is not yet available.
