Wan smoothing with 2 connections on same WAN

Can I improve packet loss on a poor connection with 2 connections to the same WAN?
I have 1 poor wifi WAN connection at a hotel which is likely a 4g hotspot.
I have connected my GLinet Wifi as WAN adapter to the WAN port of my BR1 mini so I now have 2 connections to the same WAN.
I.e the “Peplink WIFI as WAN”, and the WAN port, via the GLInet router on RJ45 cable that is connected to the hotel WAN.

I observed packet loss reduces from 16% to 5% so for sure, this does seem to help. But is there something else I could be doing rather than my complicated second wifi as wan adapter conneted to the RJ45 port? I tried FEC on just 1x WAN connection but that didn’t appear to improve.

I guess the risk is if I try and push too much data down the same WAN, the router is going to do strange things reducing throughput to perceived discrete WANs

thanks

What does the latency/packet loss look like on each?
Is one 2.4 and one 5ghz?
Have you tried using one wan the strongest of the two and doing Forward Error Correction instead of wan smoothing?

both 2.4ghz . I tried 1 wifi network and fec but still had poor packet loss. I didn’t get a chance to check the packet loss charts sorry and have moved on from that hotel however in the end it did prove to work best with 2 clients on wifi as wan which surprised
