Hi all,
I’m aware of the different “Health Check” settings for determining if a link is down.
But how is the latency measured in the “WAN Quality” report on InControl.
Is it doing a ping against the first listed DNS server for the WAN interface? Or is it using settings related to the Health Check?
Thank you!

Anyone have any ideas?
Is this representing the path to the WAN gateway?
DNS? InControl servers?
WAN quality measurements uses traceroute to google DNS (and then pings if traceroute fails) and records the latency to the 2nd hop. - normally the next hop after the specific WAN’s gateway IP.

Oh wow - would not have guessed that.
Very helpful - thank you @MartinLangmaid !!
Are you saying it will either record the latency to Google DNS, and if fails use the 2nd hop? Won’t that give you inconsistent results and graph?
