WAN Interface Offline Notification Delay in InControl 2

Hello,
I am looking to receive an email notification when a WAN interface goes offline.
I found the “WAN Up / Down” option under Notifications in InControl 2, which is great.
However, I would like to receive the notification only if the WAN interface has been down for more than a specific number of minutes.
I assumed this could be configured using the “Alert Delay” setting, but it seems that’s not the case.
Two questions:
Can I achieve this delay in notifications using inControl 2, or would SNMP be a better option for this requirement?

If I understand correctly, the “Alert Delay” setting sends the alert after the specified number of minutes. In what scenarios is this setting typically used?

Thank you for your help!
Best, Matthias

That is what that setting is for- if you set the delay to say 5 minutes, if the wan link goes down and comes back up in 3 minutes, it won’t alert.

Thank you for the clarification.
I was confused by the wording and its interpretation because in the Alarm Device Online/Offline section, it refers to “Offline for more than…” which is self-explanatory.
