Hello all,
I have a B-one and a MAX_HD4 connected to each other via the internet and Speedfusion VPN. Base is 192.168.50.1 and remote is 192.168.60.1. At the remote router there is a server which I also want to access from the base and also via the www. Tunnel works, I can access and configure the routers from both sides. Surfing the internet from remote also works well, I can access any IP address from remote on the Base router, the other way around does not work. The remote site sends all traffic to the Base router. That seems to work well. Locally at both locations I can find devices fine. However, from Base to remote it does not work. The only address I can ping is the MAX_HD4. I have NAT disabled on the remote. The intention is that the server on the remote site (mobile) is accessible via the Base (work) connection. Forwarding does work to the Base router, the server then runs fine, but I want to have this unit run via the remote and I cannot do that. What am I missing? If anyone can put me on the right track I would be very grateful. Greetz Yo.
Hello…
By default… Peplink device are ready by default to connect between speedfusion devices and allow remote networks, to talk one with other. Don’t need any firewall config to do this.
Thanks Marcello, your answer gave me courage to continue and try again. It worked, I did exactly the same settings after a factory reset of the field unit and to be sure I did a software update from both sides. And now everything worked in 1x after applying the new setting. No idea why it only worked in 1 direction at first.
