VMTools on the Fusionhub?

A customer has asked me if he can/should install the VMTools on their virtual Fusionhub

I was not sure so I asked support and they’ve stated:
“The lack of root access would prevent installing the VMTools, as such we don’t recommend trying to install them.”

Not a forum question, just an FYI in case anyone needs that answer.

An old post but could i add a plus one to this . Could we get open-vm-tools installed in fusionhub so it can report things like ip address that it is using?
