Verizon WiFi Calling with SpeedFusion Connect has stopped working

Hi

I’ve been successfully using WiFi Calling over a SpeedFusion Connect tunnel with WAN Smoothing enabled. This has worked for over 5 years until something happened a few months ago and it stopped working. I disabled the outbound policies to route UDP500 and UDP4500 over SFC and WiFi Calling started working.

I’ve now had time to troubleshoot and I’ve tried using various SFC end points and also DWB rather than WAN smoothing but still doesn’t connect. I have experimented with IPsec NAT-T enabled and disabled as well as trying 32015 as a custom port.

WiFi calling kicks in as soon as I change the route from a SFC tunnel to any other WAN.

My challenge is we have off grid locations with very poor cell signal and WAN smoothing over 2 VzW SIMs used to be able to get an acceptable quality call for emergencies. FYI, there is enough solar collection to run Starlink in good weather but its not viable in poor weather or winter.

Has anyone else seen the problem and found a solution?

Thanks in advance!
David

Legacy rule that worked for 5 years

New work around

Ports Routed over SFC but WiFi calling fails

I’m now 99% certain this relates to upgrades to 8.6.0 as I’ve reverted a device to 8.5.4 and the legacy rule works perfectly. I’ve raised ticket 26080833.
