Verizon Static APN's

Good afternoon all.

I have a question and it is a bit of an odd one. I have a customer with a Peplink BR1 Pro 5G. They have a static IP and I manually input the APN for their region. But, when I changed it to another one, it immediately worked.

Attached is the map of the Verizon static APN’s. He lives in Florida and according to the map, the APN should be nw01.vzwstatic, but it didn’t work. But, as soon as I changed it to so01.vzwstatic, it worked. Can anyone explain this? Is the map just wrong?

It depends on what IP pool they were allocated for at Verizon. It does not matter where the router is actually located. It will still work. They base it upon the account usually and where you tell them it will be. They have to tell you the APN that matches the IP space they allocated to you. I have ne01 ips working just fine in Texas. I also have So01 as well in same state.

Yup, it’s based on the address/area code of the number when first activated.
