Just wondering whether any MAX device with option for DC and AC power source can be powered by both at the same time to achieve power high availability???

Hi Kurt,
Yes redundant power supply. This specific customer has both VDC and VAC power sources and wondering whether he can connect both. If so which will act as main power and which one is backup.

Yes works as redundant power supply for HD2 and 700. Power source of higher voltage has precedence so it depends on which source has a higher voltage.

HD2 and MAX700 cannot accept the VAC Power source directly. They need a power adapter to change AC to DC. Both of the power input (the DC Jack and the Terminal Block) receive VDC only.
