Using Peplink Mobility 42G antenna AND trying to use Cell Booster

Thanks for the help all!

I have Peplink Max BR1 Pro 5G hooked up to a Mobility 42G to work with T-mobile and it appears to be working well inside of an airstream.

However, I don’t always have access to T-mobile and I’d also like to have better cell service (Verizon) inside the airstream as a worst-case backup and also for guests. I’d prefer this to getting a Verizon sim for the peplink because 1) Verizon is a pain in the behind about it 2) It’s an additional monthly cost 3) Doesn’t improve cell service

I am contemplating two options

  • Install a WeBoost antenna system at the other end of the RV to boost the Verizon signal inside
  • Even more elegantly, use one of the 4 cell leads coming off the Mobility 42G to hook into the WeBoost amplifier so that I am effectively splitting the different antenns inside the 42G for two different purposes

Is this nuts? While the latter is elegant (only 1 antenna), I imagine there might be serious concerns about potential interference? Or, other concerns?

Would it be nuts to have a cell phone booster antenna within 25 feet of the Mobility 42G antenna?

Thanks again for the time and thought!

forget an amplifier. have two SIMs in a one modem peplink or get a two modem peplink. any phone can do wifi calling and texting. give your guests a guest network for that.
