USB Modem Instability

Does anyone else have periods of instability, where your USB modem will rapidly disconnect/reconnect multiple times?

Or you have 3 USB modems that have been working fine for months and 1 or 2 of them will loose connectivity and never gain connectivity back?

All of these methods are using SmartCheck by the way.
