I recently purchased a Pepwave Surf-To-Go and I’m trying to tether my Novatel 6620L from Verizon to the Pepwave via USB. The modem support page from peplink.com says that it is supported, but only for Modem package 1017. My Pepwave is showing that it has modem package 1015. I upgraded the Pepwave to the latest firmware (1.0.26) but it did not upgrade the modem support package from 1015 go 1017.
Is there a way to upgrade the Modem Support package so that it is compatible with my 6620L?
Hi Jordan - I’m having the same problem as the original poster. I upgraded to the firmware as linked above and still see Modem Package Version 1015 in my Pepwave Web Admin. Is there another way to get version 1017 to fully support my 6620L Jetpack?
I’m having the same 6620L support issue. I have done the firmware 1.0.27 (build:1265) update and am not seeing the 1017 modem package either. Has there been a resolution to this issue that’s now available?
Thank you! I’ve got the file, and I’ll give it a go shortly…
On edit: I’ve installed the 1.0.28 (build:1274) firmware with the 1019 modem package, and it’s working nicely with my Novatel 6620L. Thank you very much for following up on this!
Let me know If I should start a new thread for this…
I read this thread, and downloaded the 1.0.28 (Build 1274) firmware for my Pepwave Surf On The Go, and still cannot get my Verizon USB730l USB modem to work. The web site shows this modem needs support pack 1022, but this firmware installed modem service package 1019. So the question remains - is my Verizon USB modem not working with the Pepwave because I do not have the correct modem support pack? And if so, how can I get pack 1022 downloaded?
Thanks for the info TK - I did not realize my USB modem was a recently new model. We use this in the motor home when we go camping, and the weather is beginning to turn and I will be winterizing the motor home soon - so this is not an urgent issue for me. The WiFi connection works fine in my Surf On The Go!
