Unable to activate eSim on Peplink MAX BR1 Mini 5G device

Dear Community,
Good day!

Please advise whether you have faced with such situation and if you know how to solve this problem.
Sim card is installed and devise is online in the Peplink Portal
Peplink WAN connection
. Ping from WAN (cellular) is successful.

However while trying to add eSim we face with such error : Cellular BYO eSIM download failed (No Internet connectivity is available during the activation process. Please make a second WAN
connection to the Internet.)

Are you using an internet connection at the WAN of the device?

Hi,
I’m using only cellular connection. WAN port is not connected.
Is it possible to complete the eSIM activation using only the cellular connection, without a WAN connection?

You need a second WAN connection!

Understood. I just was curious about why it does not work with active cellular

Because it needs an active internet connection to complete the process and if your only wan is cellular and you’re in the middle of installing a new SIM that obviously won’t work.
