@Travis - Any update on the original UBR (original post) and the “newer” model that has been discussed in this thread?
Is anybody from Peplink still viewing this thread?
At the moment, we’re in the process of developing the next generation of UBR, but it will be introduced under a different name.
This project is still underway, and we anticipate it will be ready in early Q1 2024 (or possibly late Q4 if everything progresses exceptionally smoothly).
In the future, feel free to tag me if you can’t wait any longer!
Hello @Travis ,
Are there any updates to a model more suited to the industrial enclosures?
We have trialled several models, though we need all connections & status at the front (power on the side is OK).
Of these designs, we’d prefer Option #2 (SIMs at the Front), though we do not use a USB port.
Happy to Help,
Marcus
@mldowling @Travis @Cassy_Mak - Any update on this???
Hello @Travis, @Giedrius & @Emily_Cheng,
With the UBR now End of Life and UBR Plus requiring a MoQ of 500 pieces with a 16+ week lead time, is there any development on the above discussions?
Peplink offers nothing else in the price range of the older UBR or UBR Pluss; the recommended alternatives, the MAX BR2 Pro and MAX Transit Pro are more than double the cost.
@Why_Wong only last year created this excellent FAQ on the UBRs.
On this occasion, it does not appear that Peplink has listened to the Peplink community’s customers and partners.
In Australia and New Zealand, we recently heavily promoted the UBR Plus at the 2024 Sydney Australia Peplink Bonding and Tech Summits; neither the distributor nor we knew that Peplink would make the UBR Plus a MoQ of 500 with a four-month lead time.
Please look after the Peplink community and those working hard to represent the Peplink brand. The costs to distributors and partners alike to get a product into the market are reaping little to no rewards.
Happy to Help,
Marcus
