I just purchased a 5G Mini to give us 5G capabilities. I currently run two Mobility 40G antennas, which I use LTE 1 + 2 on each Antenna for the Transit Duo. The antennas are located way up in the ceiling just below the sunroof which is fibreglass, on port and starboard sides of the front of the boat.
Im wondering if I should keep this set up and use LTE 3 + 4 on Port and Starboard antenna to plug into the BR 5G mini, or give that one a dedicated antenna, and the transit duo a dedicated antenna.
You need to test this setup… But… I believe it will works… Just remember to get best mimo 4x4 from mini5g… you need to plug all four sma connectors, from mini5g, at your antenna. ( 3-4 of each mob40g)
It might be worth experimenting a bit on the BR1 Mini as Port A + D are actually the main TX/RX pair, so having those split across two antenans as you currently do vs on the same antenan might give different results.
Might make no difference, might make quite a difference depending on how isolated your Port and Starboard antenans are from eachother.
If you are using the same carrier on the BR1 Mini as on either or both of the TST Duo you might also benefit from separating them so the TST Duo was on one M42 and the BR1 Mini on the other.
There are lots of external variables that are also hard to account for here regardless of how you have it cabled up though.
