I am looking to load balance two 15x2 TDS DSL connections with a Load Balance 30 (classic) running Firmware: v4.8.1 build 1106. Each DSL connection has an Actiontec T2200H modem/router which is supplied by my ISP (TDS).
I am wondering what the best practice is for network configuration, specifically:
- Is it best to leave the Actiontec modem/router as a router, or as a modem only (thinking double NAT issues, etc.)? Note: this modem/router’s options are PPPoE, RFC 1483 Transparent Bridging, RFC 1483 via DHCP, RFC 1483 via Static IP.
- Should the Actiontec modem’s WAN or LAN port be used to connect to the Peplink WAN1 and WAN2 port?
- Should I use DHCP for the Peplink’s WAN configuration? If not, please specify.
- Any other suggestions?
Thank you!!
