The user-manual configuration doesn’t provide any configuration on the tacacs server side.
I configure properly tacacs on peplink and i received the request on my tacacs server but i have the message “Invalid Username or Password.”.
Here the logs of tacacs :
2023-01-25 17:22:37 +0100 192.168.1.20 max.nolent dummy 192.168.1.1 pap login succeeded
can you provide me the configuration on server SIDE tacacs ?
My tacacs server works perfectly, i have already ~2000 devices connected on include cisco(IOS,IOSXR,NXOS) and bintec.
My peplink is a balance one ( 8.2.1 firmware).

Today we tried to configure tacacs+ feature on our Peplink device but unfortunately we observed exactly the same issue. Basically we use TACACS+ on Linux (version tacacs+ 4.0.04) and managing more than 1000+ different devices like Cisco, Huawei, Juniper, Forti and all are working fine. But when try Peplink device to authenticate it returns Invalid Username or Password.
Device Event log returns:

Peplink firmware version is 8.5.2.
Can the Peplink team provide some working configuration example with the most popular TACACS server software in Linux (tac_plus) ?
I will be very happy if someone may help on this old but seems actual topic.
