All the carriers seem to make this more complicated than it really needs to be.
This is the process I have been going through without any significant difficulty.
- I use Verizon as my cellular phone (voice) providers. That may or may not make a difference.
- Several years ago, I acquired a data only plan for a Sierra Wireless modem in my PC.
- When I acquired my Peplink device, I established a 2nd data only plan for the Sierra Wirless. As Verizon did not add GB’s to an existing plan (in my case), I acquired a new SIM along with a new number. As the number of devices has increased in my use case, I continue to add additional SIMs/data plans. The SIMs are interchangeable between devices (may require adapters).
- As Verizon changes it’s offerings, I go into my account (on the Verizon web site) & select the device I want to change the plan on (manage plan). I get a list of plans like reflected above. Pick the plan you want & your done. It’s really that simple.
