The OpenVPN license I purchased for my B One router works fine, but I noticed there are times when that remote (Proton) VPN server may have poor performance. So I created three OpenVPN profiles under Advanced>OpenVPN, but deactivating one and activating another is not reflected in the Dashboard after I hit “Apply Changes”. The only way I can activate the new profile is by uploading the desired .opvn file into the OpenVPN Profile section under Dashboard>OpenVPN Wan 1>OpenVPN Profile. Why is there no apparent linkage between the two? As such, the OpenVPN profiles under Advanced appear to be useless. Am I missing something?

There are two different OpenVPN features available, each designed for different use cases. Please allow me to explain the differences below.
OpenVPN WAN (Dashboard > OpenVPN)

This feature is typically used for the following scenarios:
- Device (OpenVPN WAN) → OpenVPN Server → Internet / Server Access
- Branch 1 (OpenVPN WAN) ↔ OpenVPN Server ↔ Branch 2 (OpenVPN WAN)
Key characteristics:
- Requires an OpenVPN WAN license.
- Provides more granular control through Outbound Policy and WAN Failover for the OpenVPN tunnel.
- Once the tunnel is established, it can function as a WAN connection and be used to route Internet traffic through the VPN.
OpenVPN (Advanced > OpenVPN | Site-to-Site)

This feature is primarily intended for site-to-site VPN deployments, such as:
Branch 1 (OpenVPN) ↔ OpenVPN Server ↔ Branch 2 (OpenVPN)

Thank you for your response. I am using the OpenVPN license as a client to build a tunnel for all my LAN devices behind my B One router (Scenario 1 in your response). So, based on your provided documentation, the OpenVPN profiles under “Advanced” are profiles for site-site OpenVPN tunnels only and have ni impact on client tunnels, correct?
OpenVPN WAN and OpenVPN (Site-to-Site) under Advanced are two separate features designed for different use cases. Therefore, their connection status and monitoring information are displayed on different pages within the Web Admin.
