I just hooked this up to test and realized that instead of the 50-60Mbps I should be getting, I’m receiving only about 3.5Mbps via USB Tethering Mode with this hotspot. Pantech MHS291LVW is the model, it was quite popular a couple years back. It will put out full speed on WiFi but USB tethering is dreadfully slow. Is this a known issue? I found a couple posts from 2014 in the archive but no fix or anything was mentioned. It works, but it’s slower than snot…which should not be the case for a direct USB tether connection.
