WiFi works fine upstairs (5 bars) and poorly to none downstairs (2 to 3 bars or less). I would like to use wifi on my downstairs sound equipment but that has never been possible.
I saw a wifi extender that they said has “strong penetrability” and that led me to ask about this issue again. Is there an extender that can be added to surf soho that you sell?
My modem is Netgear cm 6oo. Also, I don’t know if my setup is where the problem lies. It is set to group wide ssid settings where wifi management is disabled.

You didn’t say where the router is.
Not sure what you mean by group wide SSID settings.
Also, not sure whose bars you are referring to. The Surf SOHO shows you the signal strength for all attached devices when you list them.
There are many options for extending the range of a Wifi network. See this for an overview
Pretty much any Wifi extender can be used with any router. But, there are more details in the link above.
