With the advances in AI and quantum computing, the problem of “harvest now, decrypt later” is of increasing concern. It doesn’t look like firmware 8.6.1 supports OpenSSL 3.5 and the newer hybrid key exchange (X25519 + ML-KEM-768) which the industry seems to be leaning toward. When can we expect to see more options for key signing and key exchange?
