Stuck - Can't get routing in my LAN to work

Hello,

I’m really stuck. I have been having nothing but problems lately with my Max BR1 so I decided I had no choice but try a factory reset and hope for the best.

I reset the unit and am trying to set it back up again and for the life of me I can’t get past trying to get my clients on the local LAN to talk to each other. I’ve set up my networking for 10.11.12.0/16 (I also intend on having 10.11.10.0 devices) using the default Untagged Network. I’ve created my AP SSID and it is of course assigned to the Untagged VLAN. I can get IPs for all my devices from the DHCP server and all of them I’ve tested can access / ping router and WAN addresses just fine.

What they cannot do, however, is ping each other! My MBP on 10.11.12.75 can ping 10.11.12.1, 8.8.8.8, but NOT 10.11.12.3. Likewise, 10.11.12.3 can ping 10.11.12.1 / 8.8.8.8 but NOT 10.11.12.75.

I’ve gone through every setting I can think of and I can’t figure out what is going on here. Before the factory reset all these devices could speak to each other and I have changed no settings on them.

Please help! I’m frankly at my wits end trying to deal with these networking issues.

I finally figured it out.

Between the last time I set up this Peplink and now (at least, I really don’t remember this being a problem last time) I think a new AP setting Level 2 Isolation was added and enabled by default. Once I figured out the magical place for that (its buried in the “advanced” AP settings under the question mark icon) the router started behaving as expected.
