Speedfusion Connect - what goes over tunnel?

I use SpeedFusion to a server in a Vultr cloud. It works for many things, but many web sites block connections from Vultr data center IP addresses. That’s life.

Speedfusion Connect might be a better option for some of our use case. We’re using a MAX BR2 Pro, with either 2 links (Verizon and T-Mobile) active, or 3 (add in Starlink). But what isn’t clear is how to get traffic to go out over SF Connect. I enabled a tunnel to New York. That makes sense, and it’s up. But there’s then configuration for applications, and that makes no sense. Is SF Connect only going to work with selected applications, or can everything going out to the Internet from the BR2 Pro go out over SF Connect?

Despite reselling Peplink routers for many years, I’ve really never dug into SF Connect, and still do not understand how to configure it to be an endpoint for combining all traffic from a router pushed out over multiple upstream interfaces.

Pretty straightforward, but you need to enable SFC and, once saved/applied, set your outbound policy rules accordingly.

Could you, or someone, expand upon the “set your outbound policy rules accordingly” part of that? A full how-to that has the setup of SFC in addition to ALL OTHER settings to make it work is what I think is missing from documentation.

I could greatly benefit from that “how to” also. Thank you.

There are tons of videos showing this:

Thanks for the video links. There is STILL a need for a print/text/pictures HOWTO. Documentation still matters. Videos are not documentation.

So the first video you posted shows how to turn on Speed Fusion Cloud (yes, an extremely out of date video given branding). That video then says the next video will say how to set up SpeedFusion rules to go with it. But the next video you have isn’t from that person, and doesn’t follow.

THIS is exactly my point. I am looking for a HOWTO that gives, start-to-finish, how to successfully set up SFC to get traffic out through SFC to any destination on the Internet. Not disjoint, go track down stuff, but a single, concise setup guide. Clearly Peplink staff have some clue how to do this, and hopefully Peplink has some technical documentation staff.

And for those wondering what I’m trying to accomplish here: When I use SpeedFusion VPN using 3 or 4 uplinks and target a FusionHub, I am able to set up FEC, Smoothing, and load balancing to establish a highly reliable link for real-time video streaming data for events. The underlying question is whether SpeedFusion Connect actually has any relationship to SpeedFusion VPN, including the ability to do the same thing, but through Peplink’s cloud service endpoints. In my experiments so far, regardless of outbound policy setup, the IP address my traffic originates from is one of the active connections on my router, NOT that of a VPN endpoint at Peplink.
