Speed fusion status shows Inconsistent “not available – Link Failure, no data received”

Speed fusion status shows “not available – Link Failure, no data received” however this is over WAN links that are working ok for other speedfusion peers.

This is the status on our network core Balance 380

speedfusion.png

380 connects via 3 Wans
4g (Moderate speed stable)
Starlink Satellite (Fast and 99.9% stable)
NBN (HF cable) (Fast and stable)

Speed fusion #1 connects to a remote site Peplink Balance 30 Pro, with a single Satellite WAN. Shows all 3 Wans in use as we would expect.

Speedfusion #2 connects to a Balance 210, with a 5G and HF Cable connection. It shows as only using one WAN at the core

Speedfusion #3 connects to a Balance 210, with both 5G and 4G connection. It shows as only using one WAN at the core

Speedfusion #4 connects to a virtual Peplink device in the amazon cloud, it shows all 3 WANs in use.

After testing and tweaking no logical cause can be found.

The sites having the issue are both using a 5 G connection however there is also a non 5g connection available. We have tested via 4G alone and still bad.

The sites having the issue are both using Balance 210. We carried out a test with a differing model of balance and the same problem occurred, so it does not seem to be balance 210 specific

There is only one fixed WAN address available. This is on the network core WAN 3, ie the one that is ok for all VPN’s. This may be a clue.

All Balances are running 8.1.3 firmware. Speed fusion config is similar on all links.
There must be a logical cause but currently we can’t see what. Any suggestions?
