Speed fusion license

Hi,
I have two pepwave hd4 max fast media on high availability mode that creates a VPN tunnel with my PEP Balance.
I was using trial PEP fusion and now the trial is about to expire.
My question is do i need to buy pep fusion license for both the pepwave hd4 media fast even though they are running on HA.?

Good Afternoon
The SpeedFusion licence will be required for both of your HD4 MediaFast devices.
The HD4 MediaFast only supports PepVPN by default (unlike the normal HD4)
You will be able to use PepVPN between the Balance and the HD4’s once the trial runs out but it will only use one WAN on the HD4 (it will still use multiple WANs on the Balance though)
P.S. I’m assuming your are using a Balance that supports SpeedFusion and doesn’t require a licence too.
Please contact a Peplink Partner and they will be able to get you set up with the HD4 MediaFast SpeedFusion licence.

Thanks for the information.

I have Peplink Balance 380 HW6 that has not asked me for pep fusion license yet, guess that does support PEP fusion by default and does not require a separate license.

Also, I have PEPWave HD4, which has not asked for the license unlike Pepwave MAX HD4 media fast.
I suppose this pepwave HD4 also has pep fusion license by default and i dont need to buy one.

Is that right?

The Peplink Balance 380 supports SpeedFusion by default.
The standard Pepwave MAX HD4 also supports SpeedFusion by default.

The Pepwave MAX HD4 Mediafast does not support SpeedFusion by default, however.

Thanks again for the prompt reply guys.

I have one more confusion regarding the warranty.

We purchased a PEP balance and Pepwave router in Sept 2017 and now it says the warranty is expiring.

What does that mean?
Does it mean the hardware warranty is about to expire?
How about the other services like pep fusion?
Do i still get software support on these devices?

thanks.

When the warranty expires you will retain the following;
-SpeedFusion on your Balance 380
-SpeedFusion Licence on your HD4 MediaFast (assuming you have purchased the licence)
-Firmware Upgrades (free for life)

You will no longer have access to the following
-InControl2
-RMA
-Support (Although Peplink are very good at responding and helping even if the device is out of warranty but if the device needs RMA or replacement, this will be at your cost)
Another words, if its software, they will try to help, if its hardware than you have to pay.

Your Peplink Partner will be able to supply you with the pricing for the extended warranty for your products.

Please also note that once a products warranty has expired, you will need to purchase SmartCare to get a product back into warranty (SmartCare is more expensive than extended warranty)

Also, it is not possible to purchase just InControl2 subscription for the HD4-MF or Balance 380, they must be under warranty to benefit for InControl2
