Hello
I’m new to PEPLINK and I need to aggregate ADSL and starlink satellite links, but I don’t know how to configure it. Can you help me step by step with the configuration so that I understand?
I don’t know how to use spped fusion.
Thank you
I’d be happy to guide you through the process of aggregating your ADSL and Starlink connections using SpeedFusion. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you get started:
Step 1: Set Up Your Peplink Device
Begin by plugging the ADSL modem into one of the WAN ports on your Peplink device. Then, connect the Starlink terminal to another WAN or VWAN port. You can either connect your computer to the LAN port of the Peplink device or access the web admin interface through InControl2. If you’re connecting via the LAN port, open a web browser and enter the Peplink device’s IP address (usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.50.1). Log in with your admin credentials.
Step 2: Configure the WAN Connections
Ensure that the WAN Connection Status on the Dashboard is set to priority 1. You can adjust this by dragging the connection to priority 1 when you hover your mouse over the three lines next to the connection name. Click on the ADSL WAN interface and enter the Upload and Download bandwidth provided by your ISP, then save and apply the changes.
Next, do the same for the Starlink connection by dragging it into the priority 1 status. Click on the Starlink connection to open the WAN connection settings as you did for the ADSL connection. For residential-grade Starlink, set the download bandwidth to 200Mbps and the upload to 25Mbps. Scroll down and change the MTU under Physical Interfaces to 1500. Adjust the Health Check settings as needed, then save and apply your changes.
To configure the Starlink in the WAN interface, go to the Network tab, select WAN connections, and click the red pen button next to Starlink at the bottom. Tick the WAN interface you just set up for Starlink and save the settings.
Configure SpeedFusion Connect
Now, let’s set up SpeedFusion Connect. Click on the SF Connect tab in the router interface, select Client Mode, and set the location to be automatic. Save by clicking the green tick next to the location and apply the changes in the top ribbon.
Direct Internet Traffic over SpeedFusion Connect
With SpeedFusion Connect configured, you’ll need to direct internet traffic through it. For this example, I’ll show you how to route all traffic through SpeedFusion Connect, though be aware this might affect services like Netflix. Go to the Advanced tab in the top ribbon, select Outbound Policy in the side ribbon, and click on add rule. Set the destination to SpeedFusion Connect, drag the SFC from not in use to the highest priority, and set the Algorithm to priority. This configuration ensures the router will failover if there’s a connectivity issue with one of the interfaces.
This should help you get your ADSL and Starlink connections aggregated using SpeedFusion. If you have any more questions or run into issues, feel free to ask!
