Just got a spectrum gigabit connection – it came with a Spectrum Spectrum D3.1 eMTA modem which appears to have no configuration admin interface. The spectrum modem seems to be in bridge mode by default giving the dynamic IPv4 public IP to the device connected to it, in my case the peplink balance. However, this is the first connection that I’ve had that has CONSTANT activity on the wan link the moment I connect something to it. Is this normal with spectrum? Some kind of broadcast traffic? Or is something amiss?

I wish I had an answer for you but I might suggest going to a forum where such issues are commonly discussed e.g., here, That’s not to suggest your posting here was ill-advised but rather there may be some resources which are better because they are more focused to your issue.
