Soho router Speed test slow and drop wan connection all the time

Can anyone help?
suddently the router , I do the internet speed test is slow and also Wan connection DNS fail test
I have changed to brand new modem but issue the same. and CPU is high always!

direct connected modem to PC always connected and speed test is 70mbps
thru the router is like 10mbps

Did you try a hard reset on the modem?
