SoHo router access from WAN

Hello, I’m looking to set up the capability of connecting to my SoHo from the WAN side. What configurations need to be in place to do this?

Hi Mark, first off the WAN IP address needs to be static or have a DYNDNS address - it just cannot be a private IP. Under the System tab and Admin Security is where you enable the WAN access and configure the incoming port. Thanks.

There are two ways to approach this. Tims response is the older way and the one I prefer. But, you can also use Peplinks incontrol cloud system - it offers full access the web UI of the router.
