SNMP changes on firmware 6.X

#1

Hi everyone,

We started deploying Firmware 6.2 to our customers and we are stuck on a problem with SNMP

We were pulling live bandwidth usage for WANs and LAN.

Example :
.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.2 -> Trafic WAN1 IN

It seems that with the new firmware 6.2 the values returned for “wanDataUsageRxByte.0.0” are in Megabytes.

So we have 2 questions :

  • why you changed this?
  • is there a way to pull live bandwidth usage over SNMP? (like “Real-Time” graphs in web interface)?

Thanks

Hi,

  1. why you changed this?
    This has been reported in Megabyte since 6.x.

  2. is there a way to pull live bandwidth usage over SNMP? (like “Real-Time” graphs in web interface)?
    This is the behavior of NMS (Network Management Software). Believe you can configure the interval to pull WAN usage from Balance router.
