SFC Protect Max-BR1 account

We purchased a new boat with the peplink system system installed. The SpeedFusion Connect Protect already had a license assigned to it but we have no idea what account was used to install the license. I believe the license we have is an annual with limits and I was trying to upgrade to an unlimited license as we use this while traveling everywhere. Is there a way to find out what email or account this was originally assigned to as it will not allow me to assign it to my account as it is already assigned?

Have you tried adding your Peplink device to InControl2? (https://incontrol2.peplink.com/)

Try that first. If it hasn’t been claimed already you should be able to claim the device into your IC2 account and see the limits associated with it. Also, I recommend you purchase your license from an authorized partner (there are many on the forum including myself) rather than Peplink directly.

If it’s already claimed you should reach out to your dealership to inquire as to the Peplink ownership and ensure things are transferred to you.

I have tried. It is already connected to another account. The manufacture of the boat already set it up for us but we cannot get the account info they used to set it up for us. We have contacted them again and also opened a ticket and provided proof of purchase of the boat. Hopefully we will be able to resolve prior to VPN data limit being reached!

yeah, that’s a bummer. i’ve had a few clients in this situation who ended up buying a new peplink. now, depending on which one you have this may or may not be within your budget… we’re happy to work with you on pricing as well if this is an option for you (and you want to work with us).
