I’m currently running a Max Transit Pro device and just within expiration of the included 1yr PrimeCare service.
While InControl 2 and extended warranty would be useful, I’m really just interested in continuing SFC Protect and its bonding features.
If I were to purchase SpeedFusion Connect Protect - Plan B (SFC-CLD-B) via the estore, it seems like it would give me +180 days of data expiration and +500 GBs. Would doing so continue to give me access to just SFC Protect and its data for another 180 days? Or does that data plan purchase also have to be combined with a PrimeCare plan in order to actually use it?
Let me break down your questions into two parts.
If you want to continue using bandwidth bonding after it expires, your only option is to extend PrimeCare. Purchasing the SFC Protect plan will not enable the SpeedFusion features, such as Hot Failover, WAN Smoothing, and Bandwidth Bonding.
During the first year of using Transit Duo Pro, you will receive a complimentary 1TB SFC Protect allowance. If you top up with a SpeedFusion Connect Protect - Plan B (SFC-CLD-B) during the warranty period, you can extend your data for an additional 180 days, including the data that was originally provided in the first year.
In summary, you will have a total of 1.5TB (1TB + 500GB) of SFC Protect data, valid for a period of 1 year and 180 days counting from the first day of your warranty.
