Setting up private Speedfusion connection with PepVPN

Hi there,

I’m trying to set up a private Speedfusion link between one device that has three different WAN connections and another device with a single high speed fibre connection. Effectively I need a private version of the SFCP service that Peplink offers (for various reasons).

The devices are:

  1. Balance 310X (192.168.4.1): 1 x cellular connection, 2 x Starlink connections. None have public IPs. All connections are bonded for the VPN connection.
  2. BR1 Pro 5G (192.168.1.100 WAN interface; 192.168.50.1 LAN interface): 1 x high speed fibre connection (with public IP).

The BR1 is behind a router (192.168.1.1), which has the necessary port mappings set up.

I have a VLAN setup on the Balance 310X and I need all devices that are on the VLAN to have their internet traffic routed through the PepVPN connection.

I have created a PepVPN profile through IC2 and I have established a link between the two. I can ping the router on the other side (192.168.1.1) but I cannot ping anything on the internet (eg. 8.8.8.8).

I am sure that there are a few routings I need to set up, if it is possible to do what I want to do. If anyone is able to point me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated!

That’s weird. Are you using the ping tool on the web interface of the B310X to test this?

You should be able to tick send all traffic via on the Advanced > SpeedFusion page on the B310X then pick the tunnel that is setup.

Personally though I prefer to set ip outbound policy rules on the remote end (the B310X in your case) to give me granular control.

What happens if you click the send all traffic via Speedfusion option?

Thanks for the quite reply.

I was using the ping tool on the B310X and wasn’t getting anything. I’m sure I missed a few configs somewhere. However, I hadn’t realised that there was the Relay mode built into SFCP. I’ve set that up and it’s working beautifully!
